Inniskillin Wines Varietal Series Merlot 2007
Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: March 5, February 26, September 11 and July 26.
Inniskillin Wines Varietal Series Merlot 2007 Wine Review
Packed with plums and berries. Smooth and full-bodied with some mocha and blackcurrant on the palate. Very pleasing wine. 4.4/5 Merlot food pairings: roasted meats with rich sauces; oriental sticky ribs with garlic sweet potatoes; aged hearty cheeses.

|Grapes were harvested in early to mid October; warm fermented in contact with the skins for 14 days; full malolactic fermentation. Aromas of strawberry and chocolate accented by delicate clove notes. Cherry and black currant offer a rich full flavours leading to a lingering fruit driven finish.|
