Inniskillin Wines Unoaked Chardonnay 2009
Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: March 5, February 26, September 11 and July 26.
Inniskillin Wines Unoaked Chardonnay 2009 Wine Review
Pure green apple and melon freshness without a hint of wood: splinter-free wine! Tasty and refreshing as an aperitif or companion to many dishes. 4.4/5 Chardonnay food pairings: sushi, omelettes, grilled shrimp and calamari, red and white sauce pastas, lively fruit and vegetable salads and soft cheeses.

|Grapes were harvested in the first half of OCtober;fermented cool for approximately 2 weeks to preserve the fresh fruit; no malolactic fermentation; a portion left on fine lees to enhance the aromatic complexity and mouth feel. Peach and citrus aromas dominate with apple, pear and citrus flavours balanced with a clean finish.|
