rated this wine as 96/100 with the following review:

This is a wine to say a serious hello to! I would go as far as to say, no one would judge you if you didn't share! It is simply....yum!

It's one of the new arrivals at the Cellier in my local liquor commission and at $29.95 I had high expectations, and I wasn't dissapointed.

On the nose there is creme du cassis, blueberries, vanilla and mineral tones of Hawthorne hedgerow .

On the palate the mineral tone comes forward initially and makes me feel like I'm walking through the countryside on a hot sun drenched day! The taste of the brambles, black berries, wild blueberries and black cherry. As the fruits give way the is an undertone of crab apple which leads into a woody tobacco note. This wine is full bodied with a delightful personality!

Bottoms up!

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

  Best Books of the Year

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
