Reviews and Ratings

Stephen Beaumont CSW CWE rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

The name itself evokes anticipation of summery, floral-scented sunshine and this wine doesn't disappoint. One sniff and you feel you are in a flower garden at sunset, which is probably the perfect way to enjoy this easy drinking, slightly off-dry white quaffing blend of French/American hybrid grapes, Seyval Blanc (which actually does well in England) and Vidal (which has flourished in Ontario).

Don't be put off by the slight residual sugar as it is balanced with enough citrus tanginess to ensure a longer than anticipated finish that is in no way cloying but refreshingly bright.

There are definite notes of peach and apricots and we enjoyed it with a mildly spicy Asian-inspired dish of chicken and noodles with sweet red chillis, soy and ginger with which the wine was a good partner that neither overpowered nor was overshadowed.

Initially I thought I had over-chilled it, but this is a wine that really does benefit from being on the cooler side. Great value from Prince Edward County's oldest winery.
