A medium-bodied red with attractive dark red berry and plum aromas. Round and supple. Henry of Pelham ups its game every year on baco. This is terrific!

Baco Noir food pairings: aged cheddar, game meats, beef with horseradish or mustard, spicy food or the startling yet remarkably harmonious pairing of strawberries with black berry.

Love it!
Laura Cicchirillo rated this wine as 95/100 with the following review:

This is a satisfying, rich VQA wine from a top Niagara Escarpment winery that does not disappoint. My husband and I first tried this on a tour of Henry of Pelham last year. Its fruitiness is apparent in its scent, but it is not overpowering. It is a deep purple-red in colour, and upon first taste, its fruit flavours emerge without being too sweet for the palate. For under $15, this wine is the perfect selection to accompany a savoury meat, pasta dish, or matured cheese. It has been a staple in our home ever since we first tried it, and friends and family enjoy a glass or two when visiting.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Rich with red and black berries, smoke, leather, and earthiness, but with a bright acidity. This is an excellent wine for almost any red meat dish.
Deeply coloured, spicy, blueberry compote flavours with natural currant and briar patch fruit. Displays startling intensity that will increase in complexity over the next 5 years.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
