More Wine Reviews and Ratings

Martha Kelly AIWS, CS rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Medium purple in colour, with complex layers of dark fruit, blueberry, mint, baking spices, and slight pencil shavings and cigar box, this full-bodied, refreshing wine has ripe tannins with structure to support ageing. The flavours linger on the fruit-driven, warming, elegant finish.
Enjoy today or cellar until 2021.
Pair with finer cuts of beef or lamb, and strong cheeses, or savour on its own.
Date tasted: April 2014.
Heather Wall CS; WSET Certified rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Beautiful California Cabernet. Medium purple colour with thick legs showing extraction on the glass. Exquisite, complex and layered. Full-bodied, dry, smooth, and an abundance of ripe fruit on the nose and palate. Mint, violet, cedar, pencil shavings, vanilla, cinnamon, cigar box, cloves in waves. This wine is youthful and will be outstanding in 5-7 years. Medium+ acidity keeps fruit in check and prepped for ageing.
A long fruit driven finish.
This is a perfect gift wine for the collector in your life.
Food pairing: Prime Rib, steak.
Decant 1+ hrs
Tasted April 2014

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
