Full-bodied and smooth with enticing aromas of dark chocolate and black plums on the nose. Mouth-filling and luscious with a good grip on the palate. Decant for 1 hour. Try with hearty meat dishes.

Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Everything you want in a Cab. Fresh cut tobacco, black currants, dried black cherry, plum and coffee. Worth buying a case. 88 Points. (ottawawinejournal.com)
Valérie Dufour - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A robust wine made with cabernet sauvignon. A blockbuster that is perfect for grilled meat with aromas of black current, cocoa and "torrefaction". Consistent quality vintage after vintage and broadly available. Not refined by any means, but solid and versatile at the table, given you serve red meat!
Wei-Ling rated this wine as 85/100
Community Reviewer reviewed this wine as follows:

It has aromas of jam, with a silky elegance in the mouth.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
