Gran Coronas Torres Cabernet Sauvignon 2009
Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: March 5, February 26, September 11 and July 26.
Gran Coronas Torres Cabernet Sauvignon 2009 Wine Review
Full-bodied and smooth with enticing aromas of dark chocolate and black plums on the nose. Mouth-filling and luscious with a good grip on the palate. Decant for 1 hour. Try with hearty meat dishes. 4.4/5 Splendid Salad Wine

Everything you want in a Cab. Fresh cut tobacco, black currants, dried black cherry, plum and coffee. Worth buying a case. 88 Points. (ottawawinejournal.com)
|Valérie Dufour Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 4.4/5 with the following review:|
A robust wine made with cabernet sauvignon. A blockbuster that is perfect for grilled meat with aromas of black current, cocoa and "torrefaction". Consistent quality vintage after vintage and broadly available. Not refined by any means, but solid and versatile at the table, given you serve red meat!
