Full-bodied, towering, tannic and black as night. This has at least a decade ahead of it, why rush the matter? Supple and a velvet mouth-filling texture. Pair with truffle-accented dishes.

Brunello Di Montalcino food pairings: grilled steak, roast leg of lamb, hard cheese, veal piccata.

Reviews and Ratings

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A meaty, masculine and complex Tuscan red! This fantasy of a wine is rich and layered with berry fruit, spice, savoury dried herbs and licorice flavours. The palate is satiny smooth with dusty developing tannins, high acidity, and a long spicy anise finish. Enjoy with bison ragu. Tasted Mar 2017 - @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
Fuligni's 2011 Brunello di Montalcino is both generous and approachable, easy to drink with supple tannins, rich, ripe fruit and dried fruit flavours, sweet tobacco and leather -- just a beautiful, sexy Brunello. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
