Fleshy yet subtle, full-bodied yet balanced. Loaded with ripe black plums. Lots of layers of pleasure. This wine is made mostly from Merlot Grapes with some Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Syrah. Long, satisfying pleasant finish. Decant for an hour for maximum pleasure.
Merlot food pairings: beef, cheese, poultry, quesadillas.
Terrific Turkey Wine

|Louise Wilson - ISG Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:|
Offering a bouquet of black currant, mint and oak spice followed by a palate of blackberry, plum and graphite. Well structure tannins and generous oak frame the ripe fruit core. Splash decant to release the genie. Pair with roast beef or game. Tasted March 2014.
|This reputable California producer is no slouch when it comes to balanced and delicious merlot. Lots of dark fruit and toasty oak. Although the wine is made from 81% Merlot, there's also 11% Cabernet Sauvignon and 8% Petit Verdot in the blend sources from vineyards such as Stage Coach, Keyes, Red Barn Ranch and Bosche. - Community Wine Reviews|
