Reviews and Ratings

rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

Rich, buttery, baked apple notes with hints of vanilla and baking spice perfectly balanced by bright crisp green apple, pear and citrus flavours. Generous length. Voluptuous. Organic! The wine to make the ABC crowd fall back in love with Chardonnay. Has the concentration to last 10 + years, but absolutely delicious now. Drink now. With bacon wrapped scallops #sublime. Tasted November 2013.
Dan Trcka Wine Blogger rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

The 2012 Bonterra Chardonnay, an organically grown Chard that was partially (70%) aged in French and American oak barrels for 8 months, has appealing aromas of lemon, yellow apple, lees and subtle oak/vanilla. It is a medium bodied, dry, fruity wine; with good acidity and a medium, lightly oaky and crisp finish. It is food friendly; drink now – 2016+. My impression: NICE, 88 pts. Tasted Dec/13 at iYellow Cave.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
