Reviews and Ratings

Steve Cranny rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

For this Mother's Day review I wanted to submit the tasting notes for a wine that reminded me of my Mom and have therefore choosen the 2011 Ferrari-Carona Chardonnay. This wine is big, generous and heart warming but if you have too much of it at one sitting it might prove just a bit too much (no honestly Mom I meant just the first three things are like you...). On the palate it displays yellow apples, apricots, vanilla and butter. The finish is nice, clean and warm, not a great wine but a good one.
I was thinking at first that it would go with a nice piece of sole with a butter sauce but seeing as I will be sharing it with my Mom we will probably have to go with her baked ham, scalloped potatoes and corn.
Happy Mother's Day Mom

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
