Leads with baking spice aromas in a huge and lovely way, some musky rose petal but not a lot of lychee notes. Finishes with ginger spice. Try with mild curries.

Gewürztraminer food pairings: turkey or chicken breast, mild savoury cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

Pretty pale lemon colour with aromas and flavours of apple, apricot, lychee, stony minerality, rose and rose water. The palate is clean and off-dry with a raw almond component(?) and warming spices. The length is long on a slight bitter finish. Medium+ cleansing acidity. Pair with spicy dishes, Indian food. Serve well chilled.
Tasted: April 2015
This elegant Niagara gewürztraminer offers a squeeze of spiced peach on the nose and palate. Light and refreshing, try it with mixed field greens and edible flowers. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
