Reviews and Ratings

Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This black cherry coloured wine is earthy and has aromas of ripe dark berries, dates, almonds, honey, wet wood, and sweet spice.

The flavours of blueberries and dates follow through on the palate. It is full bodied with medium acidity and chewy tannins. There’s a slight bitterness at the finish. It is an enjoyable wine that needs food.

Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

The nose on this full bodied red has the classic aromas of smoke, spice, game and leather. It is aged for a minimum of two years in new oak and three more years in bottle. The palate reveals dark cherry, more leather, smoke and tobacco. The layers are well integrated and delicately balanced. A great wine that is calling out for a hearty beef stew!
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A dark, full-bodied, glorious Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Prominent notes show intense fleshy black plum, cassis, smoke, leather, and toasted oak. Acidity, flavor concentrations, alcohol and smooth tannins all harmoniously balance. Enjoy with rare beef tenderloin medallions. Tasted April 2017 by @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
Black is the soul of this red wine Faust (2014). This wine is a full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon from the Napa Valley and is very intense with dark chocolate and blackcurrant nose and flavours. Needs some time to reflect - about three years in cellar. - Community Wine Reviews
