Reviews and Ratings

rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This has to be one of the most well tried and tested " I won't let you down !" wines. It is full bodied and delivers on a well rounded field trip on your tongue, but there are no harsh edges here. This is classical, smooth yet full of character, wine. You don't need to worry what type of meal to pair this wine with ,it is delicious and confident just as……though i must say i would drink this wine with duck, chicken or red meat.
On the nose the wine seems to hold a lot of promise, the first mouthful is definitely rich berry mainly cherry, then a mild burst of spice which dries the mouth for just the right amount of time…as you accompany this wine with food, mild vanilla notes become present. There is a good tannin to this wine, but overall a classically subdued full bodied wine.
bottoms up!

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
