Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Deep ruby with a mature garnet hue and rich fig and raisin aromas on my first nose. Cherry, black raspberry, leather, fresh tobacco, chocolate and warm baking spices complete the aromas and flavours. Rich and complex to say the least and worth every dollar of the $63 price tag. Enjoy this beauty now or hold - rewards either way. Goes down smooth with a lingering warm prune and leather finish. Loved it!
Pair with hearty pasta dishes; wild boar burgers; or just a grilled rib eye steak on the BBQ.
Tasted: February 2017

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
