Classic Rhone! Spicy, black fruit and black pepper aromas on the nose and palate, with smoke and dried herbs on the finish. Full-bodied and smooth, yet will also cellar well. Awesome price! Good grip on the palate. Decant 1-2 hours. Pair this robust red wine with prime rib.

Reviews and Ratings

The 2012 vintage of this stellar Rhone Valley red wine sources grapes from an 8-hectare vineyard situated close to Sarrians. The micro climate there is slightly warmer. A blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah grapes are co-fermented for the 2012 Famille Perrin Vacqueyras les Christins and the grapes are harvested together depending on when the Grenache are fully ripe, which often means that the Syrah grapes are over-ripe, though this just adds more richness to the wine. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
