Reviews and Ratings

rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

A classic example of a good Tuscan wine, showcasing, maturity and classic personality.

In the glass this wine almost has the classic brick red characteristic of the area but a tad more black currant in colour.

On the nose, there is a cedar wood note with a dry earthy tone. Black berries and black currants with a tad of rose hip complete the aroma.

On the palate there are black berries, red currants and raspberries. A herbal note of thyme and Cyprus step forward before an oaky wood tone. Rich leather and tobacco followed by a chocolate pepper spice wrap up this wine with voluptuous lengthy tannins. Delicious!

Bottoms up!

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
