Lovely black plums on the rose with a savoury, tart awakening on the palate. Full-bodied and ultra smooth. Slips down slippery fast. Top me up please.

Carmenèr /Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: barbecue ribs, barbecue steaks, roast beef, meaty pasta dish.

Reviews and Ratings

Lee Newby - AIWS reviewed this wine as follows:

Grape Variety: 54% Carménère, 46% Cabernet Sauvignon

Very good plus wine has ripe red berry fruit over green herbs, dried sage and baker’s spices. The medium tannins are round and mature. The fruit has good concentration. The wine has very good complexity and medium plus finish. Drink now and for 3-5 years.
Attractive aromas of plum, red berries and freshly roasted coffee beans. Dry with a very ripe centre and good gentle acids and velvety tannins. This wine is ideal for winter barbecues. Source: Vintages Wine Panel, April 2012

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
