Fairly robust Pinot Noir, with cherry aromas and a firm grip. Fresh acidity makes this wine very food friendly. Finishes with notes of cranberry, beet root and wild raspberry. Elk Cove is one of the most respected wineries in Oregon, and has been making wine for more than 35 years, with an intense focus on Pinot Noir. Decant 2 hours. Pair with meaty fish, like salmon and tuna.

Pinot Noir food pairings: beef, meaty fish, roast turkey, gourmet burgers.

Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Medium ruby in the glass, this Pinot has some weight to it. The nose shows clean aromas of cherry, strawberry, raspberry, garrigue, cola, smoke, cedar, violets. Body is medium with mild tannins and medium+ acidity. The length is long on a cherry vanilla finish.Drinking nicely now or over the next 3 years. Try it tonight with planked salmon or turkey dinner.
