Full-bodied with a good tannic grip. Pleasantly bitter black fruit with toasty oak. Yet supple and full-bodied too. Decant 2 hours and pair it with a rare steak.

Food pairings: game meats, rare roast beef, spice-braised lamb, cheddar, grilled pork chops.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

100% Tinta de Toro varietal, aged 12 mos. in new oak. Opaque dark purple with ripe dark berry/plum aromas. Dark plums, berries, dried herbs on palate. Rather chalky, extra-dry with tannic grip. Unfiltered, sediments may be present, so decanting recommended.
Tasted Jan. 2017
From the Toro wine region is Spain, Elias Mora Crianza (2012) is a robust red wine made exclusively from the local Tinto de Torro grape and aged for 12 months in new oak barrels. The wine was bottled unfiltered. Lots of ripe black fruit and character here. - Community Wine Reviews
