Loaded with butterscotch and toffee notes from the oak aging. A gorgeous richness and full-bodied weight on the palate. A long, smoky finish. Terrific!

Reviews and Ratings

Edna Valley is just a short distance inland from the Pacific Ocean; the valley is transverse (running east/west) and the mountain gap allows cool fogs and breezes to blow in from the ocean. This is a fragrant wine whose powerful aroma leaps out of the glass and takes control of your senses from the very beginning. The flavors abound with big layers of pear, apricot, and pineapple being the most dominate. The finish is suggestive of oak, with vanilla and spice, which continue into a clean lingering aftertaste ... This would be a great companion for almost any fish or fowl dish.
