Reviews and Ratings

Amanda rated this wine as 95/100
Dan Trcka Wine Blogger rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

The 2007 Donatella Cinelli Colombini Brunello Di Montalcino has intense notes of violets, dried cherry, pomegranate, old wood and clove on the nose and more of pomegranate and dried cherry on the palate. It is a medium bodied, extra-dry, integrated wine; BALANCED with good acidity, dusty tannins and a long, smooth and silky finish. Drink now – 2025+. My impression: BEAUTIFUL, 91-92 pts – recommended for its quality and value. Tasted Mar/14 http://grapeselections.com/benvenuto-brunello/

This full-bodied red wine is made from the sangiovese grape. Source: Winery This Brunello opens with an intense, dark garnet color and shows lush softness and ripe blackberry fruit with perfumed notes of blue flower, plum cake and sweet spice. The mouth-feel is characterized by firm structure and yielding tannins. Score – 94. Source: Monica Larner, Wine Enthusiast, May 2012

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
