Natalie's Score: 100/100

A rich, dark and complex nose of black fruit, smoke and tar aromas on this blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Intensely concentrated yet supple red wine. Decant for 2 hours if you're going to drink soon (better to cellar). Dried tobacco and smoke on the finish, which is long. It's spectacular and a flagship red wine for California, and particularly Napa Valley. It's been 10 years since I awarded a perfect score of 100 points out of 100.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: hearty meat dishes, pasta.

This robust red wine is a blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot. Loaded with black fruit and smoke. Dark spices on a long finish. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
