This is a full-bodied for Beaujolais, though it is both a cru Beaujolais and an AC wine. Lots of dark cherry and earth aromas. Very attractive. The grapes gamay grapes for this wine grow in stony soils. This wine could benefit both from decanting for 1 hour as well as some cellar time. Great price.

I decided to isolate 2 acres of this small plot vineyard planted with 70-year-old gamay vines because of the vein of amethyst running underground. Every year this terroir expresses itself in the wine. Source: Winery
