Reviews and Ratings

Full-bodied and savoury with attractive notes of fleshy black fruit, dark spice, anise and toasty oak. Great value for the price. This wine has not been aged in oak at all yet still exhibits an attractive smoky character. Decant for 1-2 hours. MINE: The 2011 vintage of the Puig-Parahy Cotes du Roussillon Georges is a blend of 33% Syrah, 33% Carignan and 33% Grenache grapes. Notes of wild blackberry and woodland spice. -Lots of blue and purple fruits on the finish. OTHER: Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review: Slight floral and fleshy aromatics with a palate of tart cherries, blakberries, dried herbs and pepper. XD, mouth-watering acidity, long tart berry finish. OTHER: Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review: A medium ruby colour with aromas and flavours of sweet cherry, herbs de provence, earthy, gamey, cedar and smoke. Medium-bodied with refreshing acidity that disguises the tannins. A tad medicinal. Tasted: January 2016. OTHER: Always a good value, the 2015 Cotes du Roussillon Georges (45% Syrah, 30% Carignan and 25% Grenache) offers lots of ripe fruit, leather and chocolatey characteristics, as well as solid mid-palate depth andoutstanding purity on the palate. Score - 88-90 (Jeb Dunnuck, robertparker.com, April 27, 2016). - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
