Vintages Wine Panel: What an amazing value! Sourced from 20-year-old vines, this Tannat-dominated wine is blended with some Cabernet Sauvignon for added complexity. The nose is expressive with rich black fruits, spices and a hint of game meat. It’s very dry with a medium body, fine tannins, a core of black fruit and a hint of pepper. A charming wine from a very good vintage. My note: A tough little wine with fighting notes of robust black fruit and smoke. I like that in a wine: spirit and heft.

Tannat Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: grilled sausages, roast mutton, cassoulet.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
