rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Here's a sizzling French Carmenere, the only one grown in Languedoc. Seductive notes of dark, stewed fruits, leather, and a touch of tobacco(maybe Gauloise?)make this an excellent choice for rich rack of lamb or steak.
rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

One of the few Carmenere single varietal wines you'll find in all of France, and the only Carmenere in Languedoc. This is a very unique wine from Domaine de L'Arjolle, and I like what they're doing with this. Deep ruby, nearly black, this medium-full bodied wine is loaded with flavour. Nose shows stewed fruits, baking spice, leather, wood smoke, and pencil shavings. Repeat on the palate. Enjoy on its own or pair with braised beef dishes, or rich stews.
Tasted January 2014. 90 pts. Matt Steeves
rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

For the full-bodied red lover on your list. Deep, dark and brooding. Lots of stewed red fruit, cigar box, leather(lots of leather), oak, smoke, vanilla bean and some dustiness.
Sip and repeat on the palate. Tannins are evident suggesting this wine has aging potential. 5++?
Rack of lamb, charred meat, game
Decant 1 hour.
Tasted Jan 23/14

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
