Reviews and Ratings

Sylvain Segard rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

It isn’t often that one comes across a wine with a distinctive signature aroma, but once you nose the Woo Woo, you are not likely to forget it. This Gewurtztraminer has layers of tropical aromas that compel you to smell it repeatedly the same way one is tempted to sniff individual stems in an expensive arrangement of cut flowers — apples, pears, candied lemon, melon, lychee, ginger, roses, lemongrass, and spices — and with lots of acidity to booth. An ideal match for Thai food or fruity India curries. Score 91. (S.Segard, reviewed Mar. 02, 2017)
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Pale lemon straw colour with a greenish tint and medium tears. This had a brilliant bouquet, not traditionally gewurz ; peach, apricot, pink grapefruit, ginger, orange blossom, lemon, pear, rose and white pepper. In the mouth, a little different. The peaches turn tart - like an underipe nectarine, with McIntosh apples, ripe tart citrus, really mineral too. Chalky and flinty. Some heat here, peppery finish! Off dry (9g/L) It's not the crazy overflowing aromatics of lychee of traditional gewurtz. Different and delightful. Pair with asian fusion dishes.
90 points - tasted March 2017

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
