Violets and rose petals on the nose, very tannic on the palate. Needs cellar time then decant 2 hours. Full-bodied with blackened fruit and earth. Pair with truffle accented risotto and wild boar.

Reviews and Ratings

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Holy tannins! A big bold medium-deep garnet Barolo with intense floral and cherry aromas. Scrumptious cherry, juicy pomegranate, cocoa, black tea, and spice dominate the palate. This developing newly released Barolo boasts high high high tannins with balanced mouthwatering acidity. Still a worthy cellar candidate (2027-2030). Enjoy with a rare steak. Tasted Mar 2017 - @sommsosa | bespoketatings.ca
Smells like a bunch of fresh pink roses with cherry and raspberry undertones. Full body, yet reserved and tight. A toned and clear wine with brilliance. Give it two or three years to soften. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
