Reviews and Ratings

Love it! Seductive smoke and toast on the nose is cut through with a shaft of lemon brightness and polish. Full-bodied and lovely. OTHER: The net result is a complex yet elegant wine, the elegance enhanced by the early picking and high natural acidity. The flavours are much more in the grapefruit citrus range than stone fruit, which may not please others as much as me. Drink until 2013. Score: 92 Source: James Halliday, winecompanion.com.au. OTHER: The Yarra Valley is one of the coolest growing regions in Australia and was first planted in 1838, making it one of the oldest regions in the country. Founded in 1928, De Bortoli is one of the most recognizable and iconic names in Australian wine and is a member of Australia's First Families of Wine, an organization of 12 of Australia's most important and historic family-run wineries. The 2016 Gulf Station Chardonnay is floral and pretty, with crisp, fresh acidity, citrus notes and a creamy texture. (Vintages panel, Sept. 2016). - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.

Gary Vaynerchuck, Wine Library TV
