Reviews and Ratings

Julia Kelada reviewed this wine as follows:

Oh delicious decadence! If you want to be lavished in pure luxury, this is your wine!

The wine is dark and intense in colour though doesn't have that jammy cling.
On the nose figs, black currants, blackberries...it's a little like having a slice of blackberry and apple pie laden with Cinamon and spice.....yum!

On the palate, a huge mouthful of delight, figs, plums, black berries a tiny hint of mocha which give way to black tea then a hint of wood before a slight wood note infused with spice and then licorice. Just before the grand finale a tiny udertone of mint and then an amazing finish.
Don't shy from the price, it's worth every penny!

Bottoms up!

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
