Love that smoky, meaty, sizzling bacon nose! Aromas of black fruit with great depths of flavour and concentration on the palate. A pleasant finish with some notes of tar and smoke. Awesome price! Pair with grilled meats.

Aglianico food pairings: roast venison, roast crown pork, roast leg of lamb with garlic and rosemary.

Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This wine has depth and structure with full body, and well integrated components. Designed to be enjoyed with food. Layers of ripe dark fruit, big fennel offering upfront anise on the palate with elements of dried herb savoury notes and a tertiary floral aromatic. A wine offering huge value for money. Enjoyed with authentic spaghetti Bolognese, and would pair well with braised beef lasagna. Tasted Jan 2017. Rated 90/100. A great candidate for dinner parties, and at this price many would like to buy by the case. Enjoy.
The Aglianico grape is a black grape grown in the southern regions of Italy, mostly Basilicata and Campania. Terre Coriliano is from the Campania wine region and is a robust red with smoke and savoury flavours. Grilled side of beef is on the menu. - Community Wine Reviews
