Nice wine for the price. Full-bodied, smooth with dark fruit and smoke. Tasty.

Mark Britton rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This wine surprised me more than any I have tried in a very long time. Amazing! With limited Bonarda experience I am excited to try more. Rich, ripe fruit and smooth tannins, plus one of the smoothest drinking wines I can recall. TERRIFIC value at $13.95.
Medium ruby-red. Expressive, very ripe aromas of black fruits, violet, leather, mint and smoked meat. Supple, sweet and open-knit, with an intriguing saline element and a gamey quality giving this round, moderately deep wine considerable early appeal. Finishes with mounting but ripe tannins. Score: 88 Source: Steve Heimoff, Vintages Wine Catalogue.
