This full-bodied red wine announces its presence with lots of black pepper over fleshy black plums. Robust and brooding. Decant 2 hours. Enjoy with a hearty meat dish. Syrah food pairings: beef stew. Best Beef Wine

Heather Wall Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A sure fire hit at the party! Full-bodied and lovely deep ruby. Black pepper hits the nose up front followed up nicely with plum, blackberry, cherry syrup with a hint of fruitcake.
As seen on the label Creekside Reserve wines represent the best of small batches. This Syrah definitely deserves the title. Some worthy tannins make this wine age worthy. It drinks beautifully now. Long pepper, cherry finish.
Exciting and engaging nose that offers up notes of black pepper to accent the rich and intense black fruit. The palate shows excellent structure and has enough of everything to hold pace with the tannins. The press may be broken, but the wine is built to last - give this beaut another 3-5 years in the cellar, or enjoy it tonight. Source: Vintages Wine Panel, Sept. 2013
