Vintages Wine Panel: Conde de Valdemar is Bodegas Valdemar’s flagship line. This wine is a blend of 85% Tempranillo, 10% Mazuelo and 5% Graciano from their oldest vineyards. Aged 26 months in a combination of French and American oak, and then another 48 months in bottle prior to release. My note: Opens with red currants, black cherry, cigar box and a back note of licorice. Full-bodied with polished tannins and good acidity. A great wine to buy for the boss Tempranillo Mazuelo Graciano food pairings: prime rib steak, beef tenderloin, duck, zucchini, grilled green peppers, grilled eggplant.
