Vintages Wine Panel: Owner Alejandro Fernández is a legendary figure in Ribera del Duero. His 100% Tempranillo features aromas of blackberry, espresso, cedar and mineral. The wine is a fine combination of ample fruit, good depth and firm tannic structure. Fernández recommends serving this wine with lamb, roast suckling pig, sirloin steaks, or semi-cured sheep cheese. It will also reward 3-5 years in a cellar. My note: I love the mature taste of this wine: leather, spice and smoke with a backdrop of dried red fruit. Chewy and savoury and ready to drink now. Tempranillo food pairings: lamb, roast suckling pig, sirloin steaks, semi-cured sheep cheese.
