Reviews and Ratings

This savoury and juicy red wine, features big black plum and berry aromas and flavours as well as dried herbs and spices. Full-bodied and smooth carmenere. Offers incredible quality and taste for the price. Try it with a hearty meat dish. Lovely dark spices and black plums on the nose of this robust red wine. Decant for 1-2 hours. MINE: The Carmenere grapes for this wine are grown in the winery's historic Peumo vineyards situated on the old river terraces above the north bank of the Cachapoal River in the Rapel Valley 170 metres above sea level. The wine was aged in French oak barrels for 16 months which lends a vanilla spice note. This Chilean Carmenere features notes of fleshy blackberries and dark raspberries, with some mocha on the finish. The 2013 vintage was a cool one for this region which also lent racy acidity and good balance to the wine. OTHER: Victoria Clark Clark rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review: Heavy body, green and red pepper aromas. Very easy drinking. OTHER: : A suave and plush red, with concentrated, well-spiced flavors of dried blueberry, blackberry and roasted plum. Minerally midpalate, followed by a finish of mocha and dried green herbal notes. Drink now through 2019. Smart Buys. Score - 90 (Kim Marcus, winespectator.com, Sept. 30, 2016). - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.

Gary Vaynerchuck, Wine Library TV
