A soft, subtle white wine without a lot of acidity and subtle notes of white melon and white apricot. Dry. The founders of this winery were Italian bricklayers, thus the name. The winery is located on the shores of Lake Erie in southwestern Ontario. Pair with light seafood dishes.

Nick Onischuk Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The Colio Bricklayer’s Predicament Chardonnay Pinot Grigio 2012 features intense aromas! Apple, peach, floral and vanilla on the nose. Equally enjoyable on the palate makes this wine a great choice! (89/100) Tasted July 14, 2014
Doug Mcmillan rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Heavy floral, peach, red apple, aromas. The taste is grapefruit and apricot. There's a slightly oily mouth-feel, and medium acidity. A nice wine with BBQ chicken, and this could even handle a bit of spice as well.
Heather Wall CS; WSET Certified rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Clear pale lemon-green with pronounced aromas of pear, apple, floral, honey, flint and minerality. Wine is clean and XD. Acidity is medium(-). Palate offers some citrus zest, apple, honeysuckle and herbal(fennel).
Medium length on a stemmy, green finish.
Enjoy now with your favourite Asian Fusion dish or on the patio with crudite.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
