This medium-bodied New Zealand red wine is satin smooth and tickles the senses. Juicy, fleshy bright cherries and dark chocolate dance across your senses with this pinot noir. Ultra-supple and sensuous. Amazingly great price for a flagship wine. Cloudy Bay put New Zealand on the wine map for its Sauvignon Blanc, but this Pinot Noir holds its own and deserves its own shining place in the wine world. Please make me some seared tuna and top up my glass. Pinot noir is New Zealand's benchmark red wine and it shows why in this wine. Highly recommended.

Pinot Noir food pairings: planked salmon, roast beef, turkey, pork tenderloin, coq au vin..

Reviews and Ratings

Cloudy Bay's vineyards are planted in the Marlborough region at the northern end of New Zealand's South Island. Intense flavours and classic expression of terroir and varietal character are the hallmarks of this benchmark wine. The 2012 vintages features aromas of black cheery an dark spices. Polished tannins and a long finish. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
