Cedary, woodsy and rustic with wild cassis and tart blackcurrant notes in this balanced, full-bodied Californian Cabernet. Finished with toasty oak and smoke and carob. Pair with a pepper steak.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: lamb Bolognese, grilled New York striploin with chimichurri sauce, barbecued ribs in sauce, hamburger, hard cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

In 1972, the Clos du Val Winery was founded. The 1972 vintage of this Napa Valley Cabernet was selected as just one of the six California Cabernets to enter the 1976 Judgment of Paris, a blind tasting of British and French judges. This wine was awarded first place honours in the 1986 re-match of the same over Bordeaux reds. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
