Natalie's Score: 88/100

The Cahors winemaking region in southern France produces very robust red wines, like this one. The prices are often excellent for the quality, as is the case for this bottle. This AC wine offers black fruit aromas and flavours wrapped up in lots of toasty, smoky oak. Some dark spices on the finish. Try it tonight with meat lovers' pizza. Yum!

Food pairings: beef stew.

Loaded with black fruit and smoke; dark and deep like many full-bodied red wines from this southern French region. - Community Wine reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
