rated this wine as 96/100 with the following review:

When I used to live in England, vacations to France were very accessible. My most favourite vacation was to the Dordogne and although a lot of wine was consumed I must confess to not actually Knowing that they produced wine...... I know...shamefull!

I have been experimenting a bit lately with wines that I would not normally drink so as to widen my horizons and so It had been some time since I have tasted a wine that truly blew my socks off!

On the nose there were black currants, black cherries, roasted plums, cedar cloves and nutmeg.
On the palate there were much the same notes as I was able to smell.......roasted plums, black cherries but intense creme de casis which wrapped up the fruit notes and then allowed a wondrous almost sweet cedar tone which was Indus with notes of cloves and nutmeg. The wine became almost like a misty smoke cloud at this point where the notes of the wine mingled into eachother so effortlessly but made it difficult to know exactly what came next. There were floral undertones, mineral notes revealing a dry mouth releasing the notes of the terroire, mineral tones with a mild spice of white pepper almost married with Cinamon . The tannins were of a good length and all I can truly say was...amazing, amazing, amazing!
I give this a 96....

Bottoms up!

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
