Long recognized for producing quality Cabernet Sauvignon, Chateau St. Jean’s superbly priced version is no exception. Front and centre are ripe cassis, raspberry and wood-smoke. With the fruit nicely balanced by mid-palate tannins this wine is dry, rich, ripe and forward. Enjoy it tonight. A full-bodied, well-structure cabernet with classic notes of cassis, blackcurrant and blackberry.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: beef brisket, gourmet burgers, rich meat-based pasta dish.

Reviews and Ratings

This crowd-pleasing wine delivers California sunshine for a song. Rich cassis, blackberry jelly, and mocha notes emerge from the glass. On the palate it’s medium-full bodied with plenty of sweet ripe fruit, with bright acidity and ripe tannins rounding out the experience. Smooth, velvety texture throughout.
