One of the most refreshing white wines around is Muscadet. This shows subtle aromas of salty mineral, grapefruit, peach, floral and notes of lees. It is dry and crisp with a medium body on the palate, and its soft citrus fruit flavours lead to a finish that is medium-long, zesty, and minerally. An exuberant wine with fresh, clean notes of lime, lemongrass and herbal refreshment. Perfect as an aperitif or food companion.

Muscadet Sèvre & Maine food pairings: mussels, clams steamed in wine and fresh tarragon, light fish, sashimi.

Muscadet remains cracking value for lovers of crisp white wine, and this one is brilliant with breezy freshness and a very dry briny twist that just yells “SEASIDE!”
