Vintages Wine Panel: A fine example of the highly anticipated 2008 Bordeaux vintage. Complex aromas of currants, cherry, blueberry, cocoa, anise and tobacco. Medium-full bodied, ripe and robust with fleshy tannins giving structure. Cellar this wine for 3-5 years, or decant and enjoy it tonight. My note: Smoky, black and brooding with big black fruit and a full-bodied weight. Perfect for hearty meat dishes. This is the second wine of Château Troplong-Mondot. Food pairings: herbed beef, venison.
