Drink: 2007-2010

Bottle size: 750 ml

Alcohol: 12.5%

Sweetness: Extra Dry

Wine Type: Red Wine

Winery: Chateau Les Rigalets

Natalie's Score: 88/100

The grapes for Prestige, a blend of 90% Malbec (known locally as Cot) and 10% Merlot, are from the property’s superior terraced and naturally sloping vineyards. Before bottling, the wines are matured in seasoned barrels for 15 months. My note: A black-as-the-night wine. Full-bodied with aromas of black, tarry fruit.

Malbrc food pairings: barbecue, grilled portobello mushrooms, beef.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
