Black pepper and smoke notes on the nose followed by jubilantly juicy blackberries and black cherry on the palate. This is a mature wine ready to drink now, so don’t hold it too long. The Château is a boutique winery, with just 7 hectares on the Pomerol gravel plateau and produces a miniscule 3,000 cases a year. A long finish features mixed notes of spice and cedar smoke. Not for the timid. Food pairings: veal tenderloin. Voluptuous Veal Wine

Impressive and complex aromas of blueberry, cedar, smoke and plum. Elegant and lithe, with excellent depth to the fruit flavours and a brightness and vibrancy to the acidity that imbues freshness and buoyancy. Wonderful poise through to the end of the long, flavourful finish. Source: Vintages Wine Panel, April 2013
