This Bordeaux Meritage offers black pepper and smoke on the nose followed by jubilantly juicy blackberries and black cherry. This is a Left Bank Bordeaux red wine blend of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes. The 2010 vintage was a spectacular one for this region and this wine will age for several years. Pair this full-bodied Bordeaux with a juicy steak.

Food pairings: veal tenderloin, meat topped pizza, cheese fondue, seafood risotto, roast pork tenderloin.

The 2010 red wine vintage for the left-bank Bordeaux wine region was a strong one. Chateau Le Caillou (2010) is full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot blend from Pomerol. Cellar this one for five years or decant for a couple of hours and have with a rare rib roast. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
