Why do I have to adore the expensive wines? Why can’t I have cheap, easily satisfied taste? Such is my curse. This is an extraordinary wine. I challenge you to try it even if you don’t love Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon grapes wrapped in a rich blanket of butterscotch warmth.

Nose sweet, honeyed, floral, complex. Palate crisp, with sweet, ripe, honeyed fruit and lovely texture. Big and rich, but not at all heavy. Intensely flavoured. Long. Very good. Long-term. Drink 2013-2023. Score: 4 (out of 5)
