Bargain Bordeaux that still has the region's signature balance and style. Fairly smooth already and medium- to full-bodied with pleasant notes of cassis and smoke.

Meritage food pairings: osso buco, grilled steaks.

Terrific Merlot-dominated Right Bank Bordeaux from the increasingly critically acclaimed 2008 vintage. Impressive array of aromas, including plum, berries, chocolate biscuit and graphite. Dry, with very good balance between the fruit, tannins and acids. Can be cellared for 2-4 years, and enjoyed for 5 years beyond, or decant it tonight. Source: Vintages Wine Catalogue.
